C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. Inbound Transportation Supervisor in Keene, New Hampshire

Position Overview The Inbound Transportation Supervisor leads and develops the Transportation and Customer Service teams across in-office and remote environments. This role is accountable for operational performance, customer satisfaction, freight margin results, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring efficient service execution and continuous improvement while maintaining profitability.

Job Description

  • Operational Execution: Oversee improvements on service-related issues and headwinds in partnership with all relevant parties, i.e. Procurement, Warehousing, Regional Fleet Transportation Teams, Customer Experience Team, and National Logistics Team.

  • Operational Execution: Responsible for resolving & communicating during challenges that arise outside of normal operations.

  • Financial: Responsible for lane-level profitability. Supervisors are constantly reviewing low and under-performing lanes and negotiating with vendors and carriers, ensuring inbound lanes are as profitable as possible.

  • Financial: Evaluate new lane opportunities, and negotiate rate increases for current lanes to improve profitability.

  • Financial: Review weekly P&L to ensure we are accurately accounting for correct revenue and expense on the lane level.

  • Leadership: Train coordinators by utilizing real-time examples. Consistently coach and mentor coordinators to develop their hard & soft skills. Manage tactical responsibilities of coordinators, as well as their progress against goals/KPIs.

  • Carrier Management: Responsible for sourcing, developing and maintaining relationships with regional and national carriers, leveraging this relationship to ensure the profitable, timely delivery of freight.

  • Travel Required: No

  • 2-5: Related experience in Transportation, Warehouse Operations, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration/Management
