The pay range for this position is $17.81 - $23.39 per hour
This position offers aTrainee Status*at the following pay rate: $17.19 per hour
*Candidates hired at a Trainee Status must meet minimum qualifications within one (1) year of hire date
The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles,
Bureau of Driver Licensing has a full-time vacancy for Licensing Examiner I, SOC Title 13-1040 COMPLIANCE OFFICERS-1, which has a 40-hour work week and is considered non-exempt.
SUMMARY:
Administers a variety of tests and driving skills examinations to applicants to ensure that only qualified individuals are issued operator driver licenses and motorcycle driver licenses. Reviews applicant information for consistency with applicable motor vehicle laws and administrative rules, to ensure that applicants are eligible to apply for and receive a New Hampshire driver license, non-driver identification card or other official document.

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in instruction, training, customer service, driving work or a related field.
License/Certification:
Valid driver's license.
Other Requirements:
1.
Must be at least 21 years of age at time of application.
2.
Driving record must be free of motor vehicle violations that are determined by the Director of Motor Vehicles to be disqualifying.
3.
Selected candidate will undergo a fingerprint-based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check in order to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information.
4.
Must be willing to attend additional training sessions to expand and maintain knowledge of Driver's License regulations.
5.Must be able to travel throughout the state and work at various satel
