Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Job Description
This role involves programming, setting up, and operating a CNC press brake—preferably Amada—to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. You will work closely with production leads, use CAD programs and computers, and perform detailed inspections to ensure all components meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate a CNC press brake, with a preference for Amada equipment.
Perform daily machine operations to achieve production output goals.
Set up machines using appropriate tooling, fixtures, and parameters for each job.
Use CAD programs and computers to access, interpret, and apply job information and part models.
Read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions to produce accurate parts.
Inspect production parts using basic measurement instruments to verify they meet specifications and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with production leads regarding job status, issues, and improvements.
Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make basic adjustments to maintain part quality and efficiency.
Use basic hand tools and measurement instruments safely and correctly during setup and inspection.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures within the production environment.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine setup, specifically related to press brake or similar CNC equipment.
Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating a CNC press brake, preferably Amada.
Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and detailed work instructions.
Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup.
Ability to use basic measurement instruments to verify components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Ability to use computers and CAD programs in support of daily production tasks.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with production leads and team members.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand and bend frequently throughout the shift.
Ability to work safely and effectively in a non-climate-controlled production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating Amada and Amada press brake equipment.
Hands-on experience inspecting parts in a production environment.
Comfort using basic hand tools and measurement instruments as part of daily tasks.
Familiarity with unionized work environments and adherence to established work rules and procedures.

This is a Permanent position based out of Kearny, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $68640.00/yr.
Medical/Dental/Vision/HRA/Annuity - 6 months from date of hire Vacation Time - will begin effective June 30th, after 6 months of continuous employment. Sick Time - will begin after 1 year of continuous employment. Mandatory Union Dues - $6/week, $24/month Mandatory One Time $176 Union Application Fee 12 Paid Holidays
