Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Heavy-Duty Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join our client's team. This position involves working in the yard operating a large heavy-duty forklift to move oversized parts and materials safely and efficiently.
This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent climbing in and out of equipment and working outdoors. The ideal candidate will have reliable attendance, a strong work history, and proven ability operating heavy equipment.
This position starts as temporary with the opportunity to be hired on permanently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a large heavy-duty forklift to move large parts and materials in the yard
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials
- Perform frequent climbing in and out of the forklift throughout the shift
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain awareness of surroundings while operating equipment
- Assist with general yard material handling as needed
Requirements
- Previous heavy-duty forklift experience required
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Proven attendance and reliability
- Strong work history
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
