Work location: Texas Health Kaufman- 850 Ed Hall Drive, Kaufman, TX 75142
Work hours: Full Time, 36 hours a week. 7:00am - 7:00pm

Here's What You Need
Associate's Degree Nursing is required And
Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred
5 Years Experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) is required
3 Years Emergency and/or critical care nursing is preferred
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days is required And
NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program Upon Hire is required
Practices within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act. Proactive problem solving skills, good interpersonal, verbal, written and computer skills. Excellent prioritization skills.
What You Will Do
Represents facility administration after business hours and on weekends
Rounds throughout the facility on a frequent (at least 2 times/12 hours shift) and consistent basis
Responds to emergency, rapid response or clinically complex events and serves as a clinical leader during the emergency situations. Assures that resources are allocated to meet the patient/visitor needs and the evaluation for the code is done promptly.
Facilitates appropriate utilization of beds, assuring that patient needs, diagnosis, and acuity are appropriately matched to the unit scope of service, level of care and assigned nursing competency/skill
Responds to patient, visitor and physician concerns
