What you’ll be doing as an intern in one of the Electronic Design Automation teams
As a C++ Software Development Intern , you will contribute to the development of advanced Electronic Design Automation software used by engineers worldwide to design complex electronic systems.
Our engineering teams work in Agile environments where collaboration, autonomy, and continuous learning are encouraged. Team members actively contribute ideas, participate in discussions, and develop innovative solutions together.
The primary focus of this internship will be supporting and enhancing a Windows desktop application that is part of a leading Electronic Design Automation suite used for designing PCB boards.
Your learning in practice
Develop new functionalities using C++ while maintaining and supporting existing software solutions
Participate in software design, code reviews, and testing activities , including Python-based testing
Collaborate within an international Scrum team to deliver high-quality software
Contribute to maintaining software quality through automated testing and continuous integration
Gain hands-on experience working on professional engineering software used by global customers
Learn and grow professionally with mentorship from experienced engineers
All about you
Currently pursuing or recently obtained a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Good working knowledge of C++ programming
Basic knowledge of Python for testing or scripting purposes
Understanding of software development processes, including Agile methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Motivation to learn and grow within an international engineering environment
SSP Poland 2026, conditions & eligibility
Siemens Strategic Student Program in Poland offers internship opportunities starting in 2026 within Siemens Electronic Design Automation teams. This internship is expected to run for up to eleven months , working in a hybrid format.
Part-time arrangements may be considered during the academic year with a minimum of 30 hours per week .
You may also have the opportunity to write your bachelor’s or master’s thesis in cooperation with Siemens EDA .
Internships are paid throughout the program.
Eligibility
You must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate .
International students must have a valid visa and/or work permit . Siemens does not provide support for visa or permit processes .
