Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Head of HR in Kato Scholari, Greece

Description:

Cadence seeks a talented and passionate Head of HR to join our HR Team in Greece. To oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes and align our HR initiatives with business objectives and needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the HR activity in Cadence Greece – total of 450 employees

  • Manage a local team of 4 HR professionals responsible for recruitment, training, systems, and employee relations. Provide them with guidance and support

  • Partner with senior leadership and global HR to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the business's strategic goals

  • Work closely with all managers to provide information and support for HR matters, including employee matters, performance, compensation, retention, talent development, career planning, and more

  • Coach managers on performance management and employee development goals.

  • Manage and advise on employee representation.

  • Document and develop local policies as needed. Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently

  • Work closely with the global compensation team to analyze local trends in compensation and benefits.

  • Work closely with the finance team to support various pay-related processes, such as salary, benefits, and pension

  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes

  • Oversee training and talent development

  • Manage employee relations, including labor law compliance

  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local law and regulations

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive in a global high-tech company based in Greece

  • Experience managing employee relations in environments with formal representation structures, ensuring constructive engagement, procedural rigor, and alignment between business needs and workforce expectations.

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • In-depth understanding of the Greek labor market, including labor law, compensation, pension, and practices

  • A people-oriented and results-driven person with the competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills

  • Strong consulting and coaching skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Greek

  • Place of work – Kato Scholari, Thessaloniki area, Greece. Willing to work from the office or home and to travel overseas as needed
