Abbott Associate HR Business Partner in Karachi, Pakistan
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and people focused Associate HR Business Partner to support our business in driving talent excellence and creating a high performance culture. This role partners closely with managers and employees to deliver end to end HR services, strengthen employee experience, and ensure smooth execution of organizational people processes.
The ideal candidate brings strong ownership, exceptional stakeholder management, and a passion for employee development and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering & Employee Experience
Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and people managers, providing day to day HR guidance, coaching, and problem solving.
Support the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
Drive entry level Sales hiring, managing job postings, screening, assessments, interviews, and selection decisions.
Partner with HRBPs and functional leaders to ensure timely and high quality recruitment outcomes.
Conduct HR orientations and ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the Abbott culture.
Handle employee relations matters including conflict resolution, counseling, grievances, and behavior/performance concerns.
Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and recommend actions to reduce attrition.
Ensure audit ready documentation and maintain confidential, accurate HR data across systems and records.
Talent Development & Training
Lead training planning and execution for Sales new hires.
Maintain training records, development plans, and employee growth documentation.
Support managers in identifying development needs and creating action-oriented plans for employees.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
Support annual increments, promotions, and internal job movements.
Coordinate closely with payroll to ensure accurate and timely employee updates and corrections.
Safeguard personnel files—both physical and digital—and ensure compliance with corporate policies and audit requirements.
Internship Program Leadership
Lead Abbott Pakistan’s year-round and Summer Internship Programs from planning to execution.
Partner with business leaders to identify internship needs aligned with strategic priorities.
Manage sourcing, assessments, interviews, onboarding, performance evaluations, and engagement activities.
Track and report program performance through dashboards and leadership updates.
Ensure a meaningful, structured, and high-impact experience for interns and their managers.
Personnel File Management
Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant personnel files for all employees.
Ensure timely updates for contracts, promotions, job changes, performance documents, and training records.
Support internal and external audits by providing organized, complete, and compliant documentation.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
1–3+ years of experience in HR generalist, HRBP, or talent-related roles.
Strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Hands-on approach with excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for employee experience, capability building, and people processes.
