Siemens Energy Regional Sales Manager Distribution Transformers - Midwest Region in Kansas
A Snapshot of Your Day
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the U.S. Midwest and Central Plains is fully accountable for the commercial performance, market growth, and customer relationship management for Siemens Energy Distribution Transformers across the Northeast United States. This role owns regional order intake, margin performance, market transparency, and strategic account development across utility, industrial, selected EPCs, and datacenter segments. The RSM acts as the commercial leader for the territory, coordinating with proposal engineering, project management, field service, and the global manufacturing teams to deliver competitive technical and commercial solutions aligned with business objectives.

Own full regional order intake and profitability targets
Develop and execute regional sales strategy aligned with North America objectives
Drive pipeline development and forecast accuracy
Protect pricing discipline and margin targets
Lead negotiation of commercial and contractual terms
Customer and solutions oriented
Identify and develop strategic accounts
Maintain real-time visibility on market activity, pricing trends, and capacity shifts
Identify emerging opportunities in electrification, grid modernization, and datacenter expansion
Lead bid strategy in coordination with Proposal Team
Manage sales agents and channel partners within the region
Drive accountability and performance metrics for external representatives
Ensure alignment between regional strategy and agent activity
Represent the Distribution Transformers business at industry events, utility forums, and trade associations
Technical sales expertise
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
5+ years of experience in technical sales with power systems, transformers preferred
Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Strong understanding of distribution transformers applications, utility procurement processes, commercial contracting fundamentals and competitive positioning in electrical equipment markets
Proven negotiation skills
Strong financial acumen
Excellent written and oral communication skills to successfully interact with external customers and staff within the organization
