Job Title: Structural Engineer
Job Description
The Structural Engineer will design structures capable of withstanding various stresses and pressures from human use and environmental conditions. The role involves designing and configuring structures, supervising drawing production, selecting suitable foundation and support materials, inspecting construction work, and ensuring the structural integrity of foundations, buildings, and structures.
Responsibilities
Prepare reports, design criteria, estimates, designs, and drawings.
Make calculations regarding pressures, loads, and stresses.
Provide technical advice on safe design and construction.
Obtain planning and building regulations approval.
Liaise with clients and professional staff such as architects and engineers.
Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
Administer small sub-contracts and manage structural projects.
Inspect geotechnical properties to evaluate conditions and foundations.
Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD, and Revit.
Strong experience in structural engineering and design.
Experience in industrial structural engineering.
Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry.
Experience in heavy to light industrial projects.
Experience with rotating and vibration analysis.
Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Strong communication skills and ability to challenge the status quo.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
