    SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising Quality Control Inspectors within assigned area. Responsible for ensuring that all work performed by inspectors under their supervision, whether in-house or by subcontractor, is performed in an airworthy manner and in compliance with approved technical data.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Supervise, direct and assist the inspectors assigned to the Quality Control Department.

  • Responsible for making periodic checks on inspection tools and for the calibration of test equipment and precision tools.

  • Responsible for assuring continuity of the inspection function and completion of required inspections during all shifts.

  • Participate in interviewing internal/external candidates for Quality Control Inspector positions.

  • Has countermand authority on airworthiness matters over all QC Inspectors.

    EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE:

  • F. A.A. A and P license required AND minimum of four years’ large transport category aircraft maintenance experience including two years’ inspector experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous supervisor experience preferred

    PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    Compensation

    The base pay range for this position is $98,000-$146,000/DOE, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
