Saint Luke's Medical Assistant Phlebotomist - Urgent Care in Kansas City, Missouri
Job Description
Join the team at Saint Luke’s Shoal Creek Urgent Care. We are looking for dedicated Medical Assistant Phlebotomists to work part time hours!
Clinic Hours are: Mon-Fri 6:45a-7:15p and Sat-Sun 7:45a-5:15p. Part time minimum hours a week, combination of 12 hour, 6 hour and 9 hour shifts.
Hours may vary and may include weekend/holiday shift coverage and/or floating to other Community Care Clinics as needed.
The Opportunity:
The Medical Assistant Phlebotomist is responsible for assisting providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care. Specific duties include pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, utilizing the EMR system, scanning and downloading of documents, administering injections, vaccine coordination, telephone screening (with protocols), phlebotomy, assist with procedures (as needed), and duties as assigned based on respective clinic need.
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
Responsible for covering front office job duties as needed.
May be required to float within Community Care Clinics as needed.
This position performs phlebotomist duties at least 50% of the time

Job Requirements
Applicable Experience:
Less than 1 year
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Medical Assistant (Certified) - Various
