Job Description
The Engagement Associate provides supportive services for clients who are experiencing problems as a result of a behavioral health or substance use disorder. Services include interventions based on current treatment plan, crisis intervention, and psychosocial assessment. Engagement Specialist will also work to coordinate services with internal and external service providers. The Engagement Specialist functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team for client care and works effectively in a multicultural setting. This role is the result of combining several BH support role, i.e. Peer Outreach Worker, Peer rehab Spec, Family Support Worker and Transition Peer Outreach Worker. The Engagement Specialist works under the regular supervision and direction of the Team Leader or designee.
Minimum Requirements
High School Degree or GED.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with multicultural staff and clientele.
Must have personal lived experience with recovery from a behavioral health disorder and/or substance use disorder
Must have a CPS credential (Certified Peer Specialist or other Certification as required by assigned program) through the Missouri Credentialing Board, or obtain CPS credential within 90 days of the hiring date . Certification must be kept current to maintain assignment to this position.
Must have reliable transportation
If driving is a requirement for the employee, he/she must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and must continue to meet these requirements as a condition of employment.
Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment
