U-Haul Supervisor Building Maintenance in Kansas City, Kansas

Core Responsibilities
Overseeing an eight-person maintenance team
Ensuring all industrial machinery is operating correctly and safely
Verifying that custodial duties are completed effectively and plant standards are consistently met
Managing and meeting preventive maintenance schedules
Ensuring necessary materials and supplies are available for the team
Responding to maintenance requests in accordance with plant standards
Diagnosing and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems
Diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues
Repairing pneumatic tools
Diagnosing and repairing industrial electrical issues
Training and coaching team members to build the skills required for their roles
Communicating clearly and effectively with staff at all levels
Using precision measuring tools to confirm that machine tolerances are within specification
Requirements
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain physically active for extended periods while moving throughout the campus.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead when required.
Ability to access and navigate all areas of the facility, including confined or elevated spaces.
Must be able to safely access and inspect all company equipment.
