Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Environmental/Housekeeping Aide to join our team at The Lutheran Home at Kane. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents.
Clean and sanitize resident rooms (beds, furniture, bathrooms, floors)
Make and change beds (including occupied beds when required)
Clean and disinfect common areas (hallways, dining rooms, activity rooms, nurses' stations)
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors
Empty trash and biohazard containers properly
Clean and disinfect bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers, grab bars)
Dust and wipe down surfaces, including high-touch areas
Replenish supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, gloves)
Follow infection control and sanitation procedures
Handle soiled linens and transport to laundry
Use cleaning chemicals safely according to facility policies
Report maintenance issues (broken fixtures, leaks, damaged furniture)
Respond to spills promptly (including bodily fluids per protocol)
Follow safety guidelines
Interact respectfully with residents, families, and staff
Maintain confidentiality of resident information (HIPAA compliance)
Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned
