Honeywell Sr Facilities Management Specialist in Kanata, Ontario
As a Sr. Facilities Management Specialist - Public-Private Partnership Services here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the facilities of our public-private partnership projects. Your expertise in facilities management and construction will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of these facilities. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that the facilities meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and efficiency.
You will report directly to our Sr Facilities Management Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our customer location at 1929 Ogilvie Road, Gloucester, Ottawa.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our public-private partnership projects by ensuring the effective management and maintenance of the facilities.
Be eligible to obtain and maintain Top Secret SIGNET clearance as well as CGP clearance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Interact with key stakeholders
Train and lead team of contractors
Drive completion of preventive maintenance plans
Budget and financial management and planning
Contractual review and develop a firm position
Review, develop and modify operations improvements
Participate in project, maintenance, and budget planning
Energy management initiatives
Develop and maintain documentation
Oversee daily maintenance services
Participate in project and program management
Complete at least two Honeywell Safety Observations (SOS) per month
Complete all assigned Honeywell trainings by the requested due dates
Support annual reporting requirements and procedure submissions
Availability on call for all emergencies and participation in on call rotation
Able to work off hours and overtime when required
Able to prioritize and put in extra hours to meet deadlines
Support Honeywell tasks during on-site emergency incidents / drills
YOU MUST HAVE
College diploma in Facilities Management, Project Management, Engineering, Accounting or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Management or related field
2 or more years of experience managing contract under a Project Agreement
5 or more years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience
Able to obtain Top Secret Signet Clearance as well as CGP clearance

Experience in managing facilities in public-private partnership projects
Experience with budget controls and cost management for facilities services
Experience with Public-private partnerships (P3 Agreements)
Experience managing long-term (30-year) project agreement contracts
Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with energy-saving and sustainable practices in facility operations
Understanding of building envelope and standards and best practices.
Knowledge contractor management principles and practices.
Knowledge of all building systems/components and how they interact with one another.
Strong knowledge of facilities management best practices and construction processes
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Proficient in computer usage.
Strong analytical skills and creative thinking.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Good organizational skills
An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working in complicated logistics environments and high-security facilities is an asset
Bilingual
The annual base salary range for this position is $88,600-$138,600 in Gloucester, Ottawa. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
