Job Summary and Responsibilities: This part-time position includes, but is not limited to the following:

·         Performing exterior maintenance tasks like mowing, trimming, raking, and weed spraying of town parks, fire station, cemetery, Kanarra Falls parking lot and kiosk area, and streets

·         Operation of heavy equipment such as: tractor, backhoe, and dump truck

·         Meter reading, installation, and repair

·         Maintain Transfer Station (dump)

·         Responsible for performing a variety of basic repairs and upkeep tasks on town building and facilities such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and cleaning

·         Replace and repair town garbage cans

·         Run errands

·         Help Maintenance Manager as needed at town well sites and water tanks.

·         Help maintain town vehicles

Minimum Requirements:

1.      Must be at least 16 years of age with a valid Driver's License.

2.      Must be authorized to work within the United States.

3.      Comfortable lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.

4.      Must have basic knowledge and experience using maintenance equipment.

5.      Heavy equipment knowledge and experience suggested but not required.

6.      A positive attitude that can work well with others.

7.      A basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair, and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions suggested but not required.
