Requirements

  • Applicant must be willing to pass a background check (no charge)
  • Photocopy of your Associate's Degree certificate or a photocopy of your transcript documenting that you have at least 48 hours of credit or, pass the ParaPro Praxis Test . Test is administered at the district office. The cost is $55 per test.
  • Previous experience working with middle school/high school-aged students preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Google Docs, and social media
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with faculty/staff, administrators, students, and parents
  • Extremely organized, self-starter, and intrinsically motivated
  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively

Description

Kanab Middle School - Teen Center Coordinator. Seeking a caring, organized, and student-centered individual to coordinate our new Teen Center, which is designed as a supportive, welcoming environment where students can take a break, reset, access hygiene or school supplies, receive academic support, and connect with a trusted adult. The coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the center, maintain an organized and well-stocked space, and ensure the room is responsive to the needs of our Kanab Middle School students. We're seeking a candidate who is dependable, empathetic, and willing to assist students with their basic needs, provide emotional support, and offer tutoring. Similar to teen centers across Utah, our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive space that promotes wellness, connection, and student success. Must be willing to get a Food Handler's Permit.

Salary based on Kane District paraprofessional salary schedule with no benefits.
