We are currently looking for an experienced cook! This position is for a local Restaurant in Shelton, WA. Responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of foods while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety. The role requires attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure food is presented in an appealing and consistent manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
• Adapt to special dietary needs or customer requests when required

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent (culinary training is a plus)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods

• Capability to lift up to 25--50 pounds

• Comfortable working in a hot, busy kitchen environment
