Farming Logistics, LLC General Farmworker in Kalispell, Montana

Temporary Fulltime position from 4-15-2026 to 10-20-2026 60 Hours/week $13.03/ hour US worker H-2A Adverse Housing Compensation Adjustment -$1.80 -- Wage for H-2A workers provided housing is $11.23 Workers will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the production of hops, alfalfa, and hay for the majority of the workdays in the overall contract period, commensurate with the duties encompassed within the five SOC Codes comprising the field and livestock workers (combined) category. General hay and hop production will include the following responsibilities: operate and maintain the proper function of a farming tractor, cultivating disc, harrow, sprayer, hay rake, hay baler, and other farming implements to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops; make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery; may mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable); observe general condition of plants and apply the appropriate care; harvest/pack and store crop; remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds; mow weeds; remove rocks from field; perform general cleanup of farm areas, corrugates, and ditches surrounding fields; operate vehicle, motor bike or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties; drive, load/unload farm trucks in fields and at receiving stations; maintain/repair trellises; cover/uncover hay stacks (tarp); hop poles and install new poles on new ground; fix/replace/install wire; clean out/dig/tamp post holes; ensure poles are vertically straight and tamped into place; drive/operate equipment to install wire and poles; build/repair trellis; stretch cable and attach clamps; remove vines/ broken strings/weeds/debris from growing hop plants; haul torn out hop poles and trellis; load/unload and stack bales with loader; cut/roll/stack/load/unload hay; dig, set small varmint traps, check and move traps, and discard carcass to eradicate rodents. Employer will make any required deductions as discussed in Section I / Items 3 & 15, as well as deductions for loans (if any); long distance telephone charges (if any); reimbursement for damage caused to the housing by the individual worker(s) found to have been responsible for damage which is not the result of normal wear and tear related to habitation (if any); Applicants must have 20 days experience with field labor such as hoeing weeds and provide the contact information of at least one reference who can verify experience and performance.
