LC Staffing Field Technician in Kalispell, Montana

Field TechnicianA well-established Montana-based low-voltage systems integrator is seeking a skilled Field Technician to join its growing team. Serving communities throughout the state, the organization is committed to technical excellence, safety, and long-term customer partnerships while continuing to expand its footprint across Montana.This position is responsible for performing field installations and service work on fire alarm, access control, tele/data, overhead paging, intercom, professional A/V, camera, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Duties include cable pulling, device installation, head-end trim-out, programming, system modifications, maintenance, and repairs in both new construction and existing facilities. Candidates must reside within 25 miles of Kalispell, which serves as the home base for servicing local projects, with regular travel required throughout the state.Why You Want This Position:Work for a company that provides career advancement and excellent growth and training in a new field. Starting wage of $25 to $35/hourBenefits for eligible employees:Work vehicle, cell phone, and computer provided by the companyCompany pays 90% of employee's health premium and 80% of spouse and/or family premium401(k)80 hours of paid vacation year 1 plus paid holidaysEssential Functions and Duties:Perform field installation of fire alarm, access control, tele/data, overhead paging, intercom, professional A/V, camera systems, and intrusion detection systems in new construction and existing facilitiesPull cable (50-60% of role), install devices, complete terminations (30%), and assist with programming and system testing (10%)Complete head-end trim-outs, system modifications, upgrades, and commissioningTroubleshoot, repair, and provide preventative maintenance, delivering on-site technical support and customer assistance as neededMaintain accurate documentation and time records while working independently on projects and service callsTravel weekly throughout Montana, participate in rotational 24/7 on-call support, and work overtime as requiredQualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field with strong customer service skillsNICET Level I or II certification in fire alarm systemsExperience installing and programming Notifier and Fire-Lite fire alarm systemsWorking knowledge of IP networking and fiber optic terminations (including fusion splicing)Experience with IP camera and NVR systems (Digital Watchdog, Pelco, Axis)Familiarity with access control, intercom, and control systems including Continuum, Security Xpert, Access Xpert, Open Path, Telecor, Valcom, and CrestronGet in touch!
