At Parker, our team members belong, matter and make a difference. Position Summary Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes. Provides moderately complex statistical information for quality improvement by determining and applying testing methods and criteria. Coordinates and guides technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved. Essential Functions
Serve as primary day-to-day technical contact for assigned customers on quality issues, customer requests, and quality system inquiries. Respond to customer complaints and NCRs/CARs; lead or co-lead containment actions to stop escapes and protect the customer. Track open customer issues and CAPAs; ensure on-time closure and evidence of effectiveness; escalate per process when required.
Lead and support structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Whys, DMAIC) to identify root cause, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness. Prepare, manage, and deliver timely customer-facing reports and documentation (8D responses, corrective action plans, dispositions, concession requests).
Support and execute First Article Inspections (AS9102) and coordinate FAI submissions and disposition of any FAI nonconformances.
Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement and Supplier Quality to implement corrective actions, process changes, and containment plans.
Participate in customer and supplier investigations, including on-site visits when required; prepare objective evidence for audits and customer reviews.
Support New Product Introductions and design changes from a customer-quality perspective (provide input to control plans, inspection criteria, and risk assessments).
Assesses quality performance (or cost-of-quality) using statistical and analytical methods. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products, processes, and production equipment.
Review product drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure conformity and identify potential nonconformances.
Assures the timely processing of nonconforming materials and assists in the disposition process by participating in failure analysis and corrective action investigations as a member of the Material Review Board. Qualifications
Bachelors degree (BS) in Engineering or a related discipline.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related experience.
American Society for Quality certification desired.
Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection and quality inspection and quality engineering/assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts and general business operations.
