Job Highlights The Strategic Buyer will create competitive advantage and minimize company risk through the strategic sourcing of technical goods and services. This role partners closely with business units and group functions to drive cost efficiencies, optimize supplier relationships, and ensure reliable procurement operations that support overall business success. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Business Units (BU) and Group Functions (GF) to identify and implement strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver measurable cost reductions. Analyze spend data across multiple sites to identify sourcing and consolidation opportunities. Partner with global category procurement teams and site procurement teams to identify and leverage sourcing synergies. Develop a strong understanding of internal customer requirements to effectively negotiate contract terms, conditions, and pricing. Identify opportunities to establish framework agreements for goods and services to improve automation and procurement efficiency. Negotiate contract terms that minimize financial and legal risk and ensure enforceability under applicable contract law. Interpret and resolve issues related to existing contracts with potential financial impact, including pricing formulas, tiered discounts, and meet/release conditions. Ensure operational procurement support delivers products and services that meet quality standards, quantity requirements, and delivery timelines. Manage supplier interactions, including performance discussions and issue resolution. Conduct market research and total cost analysis to support sourcing strategies. Support procurement operations by managing purchase orders and related transactional activities. Experience / Skills Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred). 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles. Strong understanding of procurement and tendering processes. Experience drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail, particularly during bid and proposal reviews. Ability to analyze information, resolve discrepancies, and support decision-making aligned with business needs. What we offer you Compensation: We offer competitive compensation packages, inclusive of a global bonus program and an individual performance bonus program. In accordance with Washington state pay transparency requirements, the pay range for this role is $88,400-$147,400. Where an individual falls within this range will depend on the hiring budget, internal equity, and the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
