Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Salvage Yard Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the salvage yard, safely pulling and handling parts, and operating heavy equipment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salvage yard
- Pull and prepare automotive parts for customers and inventory
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, loaders, or other machinery
- Assist with inventory management and yard layout
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Load and unload vehicles, parts, and materials
- Perform general labor and other salvage yard-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a salvage yard, auto parts, or similar environment preferred
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn heavy equipment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge is required
- Valid driver's license required
