Robert Half Accounting Assistant in Jupiter, Florida
Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Jupiter, Florida. This position requires hands-on experience with financial processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger support. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations while collaborating closely with the Controller.
Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the Controller to assist in managing the general ledger.
• Code and process invoices in compliance with company procedures.
• Utilize QuickBooks for accounting tasks and reporting.
• Maintain organized and detailed financial documentation.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations with accuracy.
• Familiarity with coding invoices and maintaining detailed financial records.
• Understanding of general ledger functions and journal entry preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
