Saint-Gobain Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator in Junction City, Illinois
The Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all inventory control and logistics operations for the Chryso Junction City, IL facility. This role ensures accurate inventory management, efficient warehouse processes, and timely movement of materials and finished goods. The position also manages day-to-day warehouse activities including inbound receiving, outbound shipments, and coordination of logistics supporting the production and distribution of high‑quality admixture products in the most safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manner.
Oversee all warehouse operations at the Junction City facility, including receiving inbound shipments, loading outbound customer orders, and handling material dilution or staging activities as required.
Manage inventory levels for Junction City using Kanbans, sales inputs, and system data. Create and process stock transfer orders (STOs) to maintain required stocking levels.
Ensure all interplant and warehouse shipments maximize truckload capacity and utilize the most cost‑effective transportation methods (intermodal, OTR, etc.). Minimize LTL usage. - -
Review the OneDrive for open purchase orders, submit goods receipts, and post open LTL orders, empty tote returns, and all other applicable documentation. - -
Provide weekly performance and activity summaries to the Distribution and Warehouse Manager.
Proactively follow up on STOs with manufacturing sites, adjusting shipment plans as needed to meet inventory requirements. -
Monitor and manage warehouse‑related costs. Review and approve vendor invoices; address discrepancies directly with service partners. - -
Identify slow‑moving or at‑risk inventory and determine corrective action (return to plant, transfer to another site, etc.). - -
Conduct monthly soft inventory closes to identify discrepancies or potential inventory leakage, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. - -
Review slow‑moving items and materials nearing shelf‑life expiration and provide disposition recommendations. - -
Lead monthly stocking reviews and update minimum/maximum inventory levels (ROPs) in partnership with the sales team and management. - -
Identify, share, and implement best practices related to warehouse operations, logistics optimization, and inventory management. - -
High School Diploma or accredited GED
5 -7 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics
Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
Effective negotiation skills and ability to work professionally with vendors, carriers, and internal teams
Must maintain a positive, helpful, and professional demeanor at all times-

However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is TARGET 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $65340 to $102060. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
