Eaton’s EPG LAC PD Power Distribution division is currently seeking a OPEX Continuous Improvement Leader.
What you’ll do:
Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing the Annual Improvement Plan (AIP), using the ECIS (Eaton Continuous Improvement System) as the primary framework to identify, plan, and execute Operational Excellence initiatives. In addition, this role leads the implementation of ECIS tools to drive cost reduction, achieve performance excellence, and improve customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the Annual Improvement Plan (AIP) to achieve stretch performance goals while building business organizational capability.
• Coordinate the ECIS strategy to develop and execute continuous improvement plans in support of plant objectives.
• Sustain achieved results through follow-up reviews, development of local organizational capability, and deployment of ECIS.
• Implement and ensure effective measurement of ECIS tool deployment and OpA self-assessment requirements, supporting continuous improvement and cost-out initiatives.
• Track and communicate ECIS and OpA deployment metrics plant-wide and to the Electrical Sector – Americas.
• Manage the Continuous Improvement database (“CI Tracker”).
• Solve problems using structured methodologies, including PDCA, to build organizational capability, shape culture, and deliver results.
• Lead and manage the deployment of all Continuous Improvement programs at the plant.
• Support annual assessments, including Operations Assessment (OpA); identify Opportunities for Advancement and develop action plans to achieve established goals.
• Coach, facilitate, and support tool and process owners during continuous improvement events such as Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, and bootcamps, focusing on on-time delivery while reducing cost, inventory, and lead time.
• Contribute to the identification of cost-out projects, maintaining a healthy project pipeline aligned with plant cost-out goals.
• Monitor and follow up on plant leading and lagging performance indicators.
• Track and report on corporate and regional Continuous Improvement strategies, including monthly progress updates.
• Participate in corporate, regional, and local Continuous Improvement councils.
• Perform any other activities assigned by the supervisor or required by the company.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement programs and committees (Ideas Program, Kaizen events, 5S, Tier meetings, and Gemba walks).
• Know, comply with, and promote company policies, including Global Ethics, Values and Philosophy, and Management Environmental Safety, Security, and Health (MESH).

Qualifications:
Education level required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.
Years and area of experience required
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean.
Technical knowledge
• Operation Excellence indicators (e.g. Profit Plan, Safety, CONC, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, etc.).
•Position requires strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, or other).
•Understands role of quality and variation reduction in driving operational improvement (Black Belt in 6Sigma, preferred).
•Strong DFM Knowledge.
•Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes.
•Strong ERP/Systems Knowledge (SAP, BW, CAD/CAM/CIM/PDM).
• Must have advance level verbal and written English skills required.
•Proficiency in computer skills Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
