Honeywell Customs Manager in Juarez, Mexico
As a Customs Manager here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations to facilitate smooth cross-border transactions. You will manage customs documentation, conduct audits, and implement compliance policies that minimize risks and avoid penalties related to customs violations.
You will report directly to our Sr Director Integrity & Compliance and you’ll work out of our Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact Honeywell's ability to navigate international trade regulations, maintain compliance, and facilitate the seamless movement of goods across borders, contributing significantly to the company’s global operations and success.
Develop and implement customs compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to customs regulations
Manage and oversee customs documentation, including import and export declarations, duty calculations, and customs clearance
Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on customs compliance matters, including training and awareness programs
Stay updated with changes in customs regulations and communicate the impact to the organization, ensuring compliance with new requirements
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve customs compliance issues and mitigate risks
Manage relationships with customs authorities and external service providers
YOU MUST HAVE
6+ years of experience in customs compliance, preferably in a managerial role
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, origin determination, and customs procedures
Experience in managing customs compliance programs, including customs audits and post-entry compliance
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex customs regulations and provide practical solutions
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities and regulatory agencies
Experience in managing relationships with customs authorities and external service providers
