We are Rogers Custom Millwork, a Jonesboro based team specializing in custom carpentry and millwork products.
We\'re seeking to hire an engineer with a strong foundation in programming to further develop and maintain our internal software tools. These tools range from CAD & design engineering information, purchasing, inventory control, and time tracking. This engineer will also work extensively with solidworks to fully 3D model and design high end custom products. This individual would ideally have experience in 3D-CAD, VBA, Javascript, C#, Python, and powershell. Relevant industry or cross-industry manufacturing experience would also be very beneficial.
Typical workday tasks:
- Work directly with senior management to maintain, develop, and expand internal software tools
- Develop and maintain design libraries
- Develop and maintain software automation tools
- Generating production 3D models for production based from either architectural drawings or sales sketches
- Generate 2D shop drawings from 3D models for approvals and instruction
- Generate manufacturing documentation: cutlists, labels, and CNC files
- Record design review videos
- Support and answer questions related to designs across the organization
In-person office work will be required to start with opportunities for hybrid work.
Experience and/or capability to perform the following:
- Mechanical engineering and/or computer science schooling and/or training preferred
- Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent and a valid drivers license.
- Solidworks or other CAD experience
- CAM experience preferred
- VBA, Javascript, and relevant coding experience is a must
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, documentation, and verbal instructions.
- Good working knowledge of mathematics and basic geometry, able to read a tape measure and other quality instruments (calipers, rules, scales, etc.), and able to work with and convert both Metric and Imperial measurements.
- High level of mechanical aptitude. Able to visualize in 3D from 2D reference
- High attention to detail with thorough analytical skills
Compensation is based on experience and ability. Raises will be determined at least semi-annually based on the positions evaluation form that details how pay is calculated.
