JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Graduate of a School of Practical Nursing. Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas.
Experience
Knowledge of clinic policies\procedures, practices, techniques, and equipment as acquired through orientation. Knowledge of computer software such as Windows, Office and internet use. Experience with allegery testing preferred.
Physical

Normal clinic environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Frequent exposure to fumes, odors and water. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching and occasional stress related to patient load.
JOB SUMMARY
Provide specialized care & treatment for adults and children with allergies
Administer allergy testing
Interpret allergy testing results
Educate patients about their allergy treatment options
Administer allergy injections and monitor patients for any type of allergic reaction
Mix allergy medication for each individual patient
Document appropriately in EMR
Return patient phone calls regarding allergy questions/concerns
Order allergy supplies
Filing patient charts
Work in a fast paced environment
Rooming patients
Other routine nursing tasks
Meditech knowledge helpful, but not required
