Civil Drafter I
H.F. Lenz Engineering is seeking a qualified candidate for a Civil Drafter to come join our team in Johnstown, PA. The candidate will provide engineering design and drafting support for various civil site development projects from conceptual drawings to construction documents. This role will utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create existing conditions backgrounds and 3D surfaces from survey points, aerial mapping and reference drawings. Projects will include commercial, industrial, municipal, historic, healthcare, educational and athletic facilities. Responsibilites:
Set up drawing packages for site development projects.
Learn and utilize drafting techniques to design site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with client standards.
Develop drawings for land development and infrastructure projects, including sewer systems, water lines, parking lots and commercial buildings.
Analyze survey data, site requirements, and environmental reports to determine impact on designs.
Collaborate with Civil engineers and design staff to make drawing revisions and changes according to markups.
Assist Engineers and Surveyors with occassional site surveys.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or certificate from a technical school is required.
Associates' Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) or certificate from a technical college is preferred.
Some previous training in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Must have the ability to collaborate and work in a team focused environment.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must have the ability to work overtime hours as necessary.
Must be fully authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
