Job Output Under the supervision of theSecond Shift Supervisor, theQualityOperatoris responsible forensuring product qualityat the Powder Coating Linethrough the use ofregular consistent checks via equipment and visual checks. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesincludesthe following.Other duties may be assigned. General Duties Commit to and follow the facility Mission, Vision and Values that support the AWI Operating Principles as an individual and team. Attend andparticipatein all required company training programs. Paint Line Duties Operate allquality checkequipment includingbut not limitedto:colorimeter, gloss meter, viewing board, thickness gauge,scratch testing,etc. Operate machinery or stationsas instructed by theSupervisorto meet scheduled demands. Support the development of standard recipeswiththe operatorson the line. Makeappropriate runningdecisions to prevent excessivedefects and/or downtime. Develop a knowledge ofthe basics of operation ofeach areain order tocommunicate issues and support troubleshooting. Keepaccuraterecords of production, waste,andquality checks undertaken. Communicate issues quickly and accurately to the operators,supervisor, and plant resources to prevent excessive scrap and downtime. Environmental, Health, &Safety Follow all Company,OSHA Safety, and EPA EnvironmentalPolicies. Always ensurespersonal safe behaviorandencouragessafe behavior in others. Participatesin safety related events/trainings/processes. Conform to all company policies and procedures. Maintain clean and organized workarea. Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Report any safety/environmental incidents. Quality Maintaina high levelof customer focus in producing quality products and services that do not sacrifice the safety of others, oneself, nor the environment. Ensure that the standards for quality, output, safety etc. are adhered to and improved upon. Troubleshoot issues that are within your knowledge and control.Decidequickly to contact more resources for issues outside of your knowledge and control. Effective useand managementofstandards and samples. Check coating qualityusing visual checksand quality devicesat aregular interval. Support the product hold process when material is out of specification by working with the quality team todetermineisolationtime frames. Monitor aspects of the booth that could affectthe productquality using devices, standard work, and knowledge of theprocess. Understand when a powder isofstandardqualityor ofgood qualityvswhen there is an issue that needs to beaddressed. Create and/orimproveuponstandard work processes including but not limited to: Start Up Shut Down While Running Change Overs Troubleshooti
