Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

A construction laborer will be installing Hardwood Flooring. This role is responsible for operating buffing machines and edgers, applying finishes, and painting flooring. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, understands the nuances of wood materials, and can deliver high-quality flooring installations that stand the test of time.

Responsibilities

  • Install hardwood, engineered wood, and laminate flooring according to project specifications.

  • Prepare job sites, including demolition, subfloor leveling, moisture testing, and layout planning.

  • Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials using professional tools and techniques.

  • Repair or replace damaged flooring sections.

Essential Skills

  • 6+ months of construction experience.

  • Good attendance and reliability.

  • Ability to bend, kneel, and lift 50lbs regularly.

  • Comfortable working on hands and knees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a flooring installer.

  • Familiarity with construction techniques.

Work Environment

Work inside buildings to install flooring. As a family-owned business, we value a supportive and team-oriented culture. Our team typically works in small crews of 2-4 people. The dress code includes construction work pants and steel-toe boots. Working hours are from 7am to 5pm, starting and ending at the shop. All necessary tools and personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, are provided.

This is a Permanent position based out of Johnson Creek, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
