Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to promoting water safety and swimming skills among students of all ages and abilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment
Maintain a safe, fun and inclusive learning environment for swimmers
Assess students' swimming abilities and tailor lessons to meet their specific needs and goals
Teach water safety skills and techniques to promote confidence in the water
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
Maintain a clean and safe pool area, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines
Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding lesson plans and progress
Skills:
Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming techniques
Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a related role is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels
Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
Salary:
18.00 per hour
Schedule:
Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30pm-7:00pm
Saturdays 9:30am-12:00pm

Requirements
Previous experience as a swim instructor preferred
Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards
YMCA swim instructor certification, or equivalent preferred
At least 16 years of age
