UHS EP Lab Technologist in Johnson City, New York

Position OverviewUHS Wilson Medical Center is currently hiring an EP Lab Technologist to support our growing Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technologist who thrives in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment and enjoys supporting advanced cardiac procedures.

The EP Lab Technologist provides technical and clinical support for both interventional and non‑interventional cardiac procedures. This role works closely with physicians, nurses, and the broader Cath/EP Lab team to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care.

Compensation Range:

$37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience


Essential Functions:Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Provides technical support for all Cath Lab procedures to include: catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion and LV assist device insertions.

  • Responsible for technical support and clinical assistance, both sterile and non-sterile, of procedures including: catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion and LV assist device insertions.

  • Operates required advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols for interventional and non-interventional patient procedures.

  • Ensures proper safety standards are met and radiation safety practices are adhered to.

  • Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary.

  • Performs quality assurance checks on equipment.

  • Assists in maintaining supply inventory for all Cath Lab procedures.

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of UHS information systems.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of coding procedures for accurate billing of all Cath Lab procedures

  • Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology

  • Two (2) years of experience in full services hospital as a Radiologic Technologist.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a Cardiac Cath Lab

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

  • New York State license as Radiologic Technologist

  • Not Applicable
