POSITION:
Associate of Science Nursing Instructor, Jesup
Under the supervision of the Dean for Academic Affairs, Allied Health, the instructor will be responsible for overall classroom instruction for the Associate of Science Nursing courses to include preparing lesson plans, maintaining department guidelines and standards, evaluating students by assigning grades and interacting with clinical partners, faculty and deans. Ideal employment begins immediately.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of a masters degree in nursing. Degrees must be from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- A valid and current state Registered Nurse license;
- A minimum of three (3) years documented work experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical surgical setting;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Ability to develop and evaluate lesson plans and student learning outcomes
Ability to work flexible hours, juggle multiple and competing priorities
Ability to work well in the classroom and supervise students in laboratory settings
Ability to direct and assess students progress in achieving required competencies
Ability to handle administrative responsibilities related to teaching of courses, data collection and reporting for licensing agencies, accreditation agencies and/or the College
Have a positive attitude and strong organizational and interpersonal skills

SALARY/BENEFITS:
Salary will be determined in accordance with guidelines established by the Technical College System of Georgia. Benefits include the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program, State of Georgia holidays, and annual/sick leave.
