Citi Wealth is transforming its investment technology ecosystem to be data-driven, AI-enabled, and real-time. The organization seeks a Head of Investment Solutions Data & Analytics to lead the design, engineering, and operation of high-performance, enterprise-grade data platforms, pipelines, and integration layers that power all investment solutions.
This product-agnostic role will ensure data flows seamlessly across custody, trading, portfolio, and advisory platforms, enabling analytics, AI/ML decisioning, and insight delivery at scale. The candidate will be responsible for building the end-to-end data architecture—from ingestion and integration to pipelines, storage, and analytics consumption.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Integration & Platform Strategy
Define and execute a modern data strategy for Investment Solutions, focused on platform-first, product-agnostic architecture
Build and maintain scalable, cloud-native data platforms that integrate:
Custody, clearing, and post-trade systems
Portfolio and risk engines
Market data and alternative data sources
Client and advisor-facing systems
Ensure real-time and batch integration pipelines support analytics, AI, and operational systems
2. Data Engineering & Pipeline Ownership
Lead the design and engineering of end-to-end data pipelines for:
Trade and portfolio data ingestion
Market and reference data integration
Position, cash, and transaction reconciliation
Performance, attribution, and risk data feeds
Implement streaming and event-driven architectures to enable real-time analytics and decisioning
Ensure scalable, resilient, and observable pipelines with monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery
3. Advanced Analytics & AI Enablement
Enable AI/ML capabilities by providing:
High-quality, integrated, and curated data sets
Feature stores and model-ready datasets
Real-time data feeds for predictive analytics and AI-powered recommendations
Collaborate with portfolio management, trading, and risk teams to embed data-driven decisioning
Implement MLOps practices for model deployment and monitoring
4. Data Governance, Quality & Control
Establish enterprise-grade data governance including:
Lineage, metadata, and catalog management
Data quality, validation, and reconciliation
Regulatory and compliance-aligned data controls
Ensure consistent, accurate, and trusted data across all investment solutions
5. Reporting, Insights & Integration
Enable self-service analytics and visualization platforms for business and advisory teams
Ensure integrated data pipelines support both real-time insights and historical reporting
Enable cross-platform interoperability with API-first access and event-driven data delivery
6. Leadership & Talent
Build and lead a global, high-performing data engineering and analytics organization
Attract and develop talent in:
Data engineering and integration
Cloud-native data platforms
AI/ML data pipelines and analytics
Foster a culture of engineering excellence, data ownership, and innovation
Must-Have Qualifications
15+ years in financial services technology with strong experience in data integration, engineering, and analytics
Deep experience building end-to-end data pipelines, cloud-native platforms, and integration layers
Expertise with:
Data ingestion, transformation, and storage (ETL, ELT, streaming pipelines)
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures
API and event-driven integration frameworks
High-volume, real-time data systems in trading or investment workflows
Proven ability to deliver enterprise-grade data platforms supporting analytics, AI, and decisioning
Experience in data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks
Familiarity with investment workflows, portfolio management, and risk systems
Strong leadership and ability to influence executive stakeholders
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML pipelines and feature engineering for investment solutions Experience integrating multi-asset class data across custody, clearing, and trading Knowledge of UMA platforms, model portfolios, and portfolio optimization engines Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) Familiarity with regulatory and fiduciary reporting requirements Prior exposure to data mesh or platform-as-a-service models
