SMBC Capital Markets, Inc. Vice President, Business Analyst/Project Manager in Jersey City, New Jersey
Perform business and data analysis for strategic data projects and enhancements across financial products. Lead new projects from inception through go live, managing the project lifecycle across authoring project initiation documents, business requirements documents, status reports, leading front to back UAT across users and developers. Collaborate with senior management, delivery leads on the creation of the solution roadmap and providing timely status of deliverables related to roadmap execution. Facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions with business and technology stakeholders. Facilitate daily/weekly developer scrums, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Support agile activities, including user story creation, acceptance criteria definition, product backlog grooming, and identifying key dependencies and risks. Document QA test plans and execute test cases. Liaise with business users to create test plans, manage testing, and track defects, enhancements, and questions. Participate in business analysis for new requirements across data projects and business as usual enhancements across data team applications. Write user documentation and conduct training sessions on new functionality as needed. Assist with production implementation & coordinate user validation across impacted Control Function. Hybrid remote work permitted.Requirements: Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field plus 10 years of experience. Special skills: Data concepts; data governance; business analysis; enterprise data architecture; modern cloud-based data platforms; Agile project management & Scrum; SQL, Jira, Confluence; Vendor Data Management. The required skill set does not need to be maintained over the full term of the required experience.Salary range: $150,301 to $195,000/year.
