JPMorgan Chase & Co.JOB TITLE: Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available] LOCATION: 480 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310.DUTIES: Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting by building solutions and breaking down technical problems. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Provide technical leadership, mentor developers, design and architect mobile apps using best practices, drive code reviews, and manage sprint planning. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computing and Security Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 2 years (24 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computing and Security Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 1 year (12 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Designing, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs and working within microservices-based environments, including defining service endpoints, managing inter-service communication through APIs, integrating with databases, implementing security protocols including authentication and authorization, conducting unit and integration testing, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance in production environments; Developing enterprise applications using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks, including configuring application contexts, implementing dependency injection, developing reusable modules, integrating with relational and non-relational databases; and managing project dependencies and building automation using Maven and Gradle, executing automated tests, and deploying applications in cloud and on-premises environments. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Developing and maintaining Android applications with the Android SDK; Developing and deploying Android apps in Java and Kotlin; Building, testing, and debugging Android applications using Android Studio IDE; Designing Android user interfaces and layouts using XML; Managing Android project dependencies and automating builds with Gradle; Implementing and managing local data storage in Android applications using SQLite, including designing database schemas, writing and optimizing queries, ensuring data persistence, and integrating database functionality with application workflows; Creating and managing repositories using Git for version control and maintaining code integrity in collaborative development environments; Developing iOS applications with Swift and Objective-C; Building, testing, and debugging iOS applications using Xcode IDE; Building iOS user interfaces with UIKit and SwiftUI; Managing iOS dependencies with CocoaPods; Applying Core Data for data persistence in iOS applications; Implementing audio and video in iOS applications with AVFoundation; implementing secure data storage in iOS applications using Keychain Services; continuous integration for automated testing and deployment of iOS applications; and working within Agile methodologies for software project management and delivery.
