Citibank, N.A. seeks an IT Business Unit Manager for its Jersey City, New Jersey location.Duties: Support trade reporting, transaction lifecycle monitoring and audit trail completeness in adherence to global regulatory mandates. Act as a domain expert on MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) and EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation) and Dodd-frank regulatory reporting requirements for OTC (Over the counter) and exchange-traded derivatives. Design and support trade lifecycle workflows using FIX protocol and SWIFT MX/ISO 20022 messaging standards. Ensure accurate message translation, enrichment and compliance across multiple trading platforms and clearing venues. Conduct in-depth risk analyses using methodologies such as SPAN (Standard Portfolio Analysis of Risk). Collaborate with risk managers and clearing brokers on cross-margining strategies to optimize capital efficiency. Leverage reconciliation tools like CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) Traiana and Blackrock Aladdin to identify breaks and ensure data integrity across front-to-back trade flows. Implement and maintain custom plug-ins to integrate observability stacks (logs, metrics, traces) into legacy applications to monitor application health and improve incident response. Integrate Grafana seamlessly with existing support tools to establish advanced dashboards, real-time alerting and service-level objectives. Drive adoption of cloud-native security principles across CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Deployment) pipelines. Implement DevOPS security practices ensuring handling and secure infrastructure-as-code. Evaluate and pilot WebAssembly-based runtime environments for enhanced sandboxing and execution security. Develops and maintains executive stakeholder relationships, often providing consultative, business-centered, and data-driven approaches to complex issues. Responsible for large-scale transformation programs to adopt new technologies such as cloud adoptions, containerization, and continuous integration and deployment to quickly turnaround client demand for business growth. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science or related field and 8 years of experience as an Applications Development Senior Manager, Technical Lead, Senior Software Engineer or related position designing and developing large scale real-time financial enterprise applications. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields and 10 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the above positions. Full span of experience must include: FIX (Financial Information Exchange) Protocol and FIX Parser, SWIFT MX/ISO 20022 financial Messaging; CI/CD pipeline and full SDLC; Working with financial instrument regulations Dodd-Frank, MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) and EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation) for regulatory reporting; Standardized Portfolio Analysis of Risk (SPAN) and cross margining; FCM (Futures Commission Merchant) agnostic trade reconciliation tools including CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) Traiana and BlackRock’s Aladdin; JWT, oAuth, Java Security, Spring Security, Service Mesh, and zero trust; and Jenkins, Java, Spring boot, Spring Cloud, Spring WebFlux, Spring batch, Jasper Reports, MSTR, TestNG, Junit, Selenium, Cucumber, ExtJS, Angular.
