Insurance Services Office, Inc. seeks a Database Administrator II in Jersey City, NJ.Duties:Support operational environments' database systems across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and AWS Aurora. Demonstrate an understanding of complex problem-solving techniques dealing with physical database creation and support. Formulate and recommend technical direction for database-related activities for the project teams in collaboration with other teams in IT organization. Develop standards, processes, and procedures within the scope of Technology & Infrastructure DB Services team. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the database development life cycle including data modeling, database coding, testing, and implementation. Perform quality assurance and/or software development processes and methodologies, with the ability to share that knowledge with peers, and project team members. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels within the organizations as well as communicate directly with customers on new projects and / or issues with production systems. Plan and execute database migrations as needed. Monitor and improve performance; diagnose and resolve database-related problems. Design and manage backup and recovery processes and continuity of operations plan.Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The position requires 3years of experience in all of the following: • Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Aurora PostgreSQL (Postgres) and AWS RDS. • MS SQL (2012/2016) database management, modeling, T-SQL programming, architecting systems with data analytics needs. • ETL tools including at least one of Attunity, AWS Glue, DMS, or ETL programming. • Production experience with performance tuning queries and stored procedures. • Working with AWS services including at least one of S3, CFTs, API Gateway, Lambda functions, IAM, or Amazon ECS. • Database backup and recovery, including implementing disaster recovery standards. • Designing and implementing data security solutions including Data Encryption, Data Masking, and Key Management.The position also requires 2 years of experience in all of the following: • Partitioning tables in Postgres using PGPartman. • Application performance monitoring tools including, New Relic, Splunk (log monitoring), Dynatrace, Solarwinds, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail. • AGILE SDLC environment which includes participating in standups, refinements, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Telecommuting permitted.Benefits offered include health, vision, and dental plans; 401K program with employer matching; pre-tax transit, parking, and health savings account options; telemedicine; flexible spending accounts; life and disability insurance; global well-being and thrive wellness programs; employee stock purchase plan; legal services; and more$101,234 to $130,000 per year.
