Employer: Sumitomo Mitsui Banking CorporationJob Title: Data Analytics Associate (ref#: 6394)Job Location:Harborside 2, 200 Hudson St., Jersey City, NJ 07311Duties:Create effective data visualizations / dashboards utilizing Power Business Intelligence (PBI) and Tableau Business Intelligence tools. Partner with Information Technology team to create various integrations into BI tools from various Data sources to include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Middleware (Azure), and other various Software as a Solution (SaaS) tools e.g. Coupa, SAP Fieldglass, etc. Employ understanding of statistical modeling and analysis frameworks to gain key insights from collected data and support development of predictive data models. Perform initial clean-up and classification of datasets, apply transformations to ensure compliance with data dictionaries, source missing data, and trace origin of any data quality issues. Maintain and run queries against corporate data sets to answer key business questions. Support exploratory analysis of existing data to uncover new trends and insights. Troubleshoot issues with reports and dashboards to enable continuous monitoring of important business performance metrics and support effective visualization of data. Work with Sourcing, Procurement, and Risk leadership and other business teams to develop key data questions and performance metrics. Establish position as a resource to colleagues for advice on all aspects of data utilization, including capture, analysis, reporting, and prediction. Assist in delivering advice to business partners on data capture requirements for analysis and on the creation of metrics to capture performance insights. Provide support to business teams on utilizing reporting tools and application of data observations. *Hybrid remote work is permitted.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in data science, information technology and analytics, or a related field plus 3 years of experience. Experience must include the following: Power Business Intelligence; Tableau Business Intelligence; API Integration with Azure with BI tools; Coupa Report creation/distribution; and Procurement Data Expertise.
