Insight Global Data Analyst in Jersey City, New Jersey
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a technically strong Data Analyst to join the team at one of our top financial services clients located in Jersey City, NJ. You will be supporting a mature, multi year risk reporting and data governance program. This role focuses on metadata analysis, data lineage, and controls, working directly with databases and data owners to identify gaps and drive resolution. Responsibilities will include:
-Analyze metadata related to data lineage, controls, and risk reporting
-Interview and collaborate with data owners/providers to document gaps and remediation steps
-Query and analyze data directly from relational databases using SQL
-Understand and interpret existing data models and architectures
-Systematize manually gathered metadata by reshaping and loading it into database tables
-Support project management activities and documentation
-Use Excel and Tableau for analysis and reporting

Skills and Requirements
-5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
-Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling concepts
-Advanced SQL and complex Excel reporting skills
-Experience with Master Data Management
-Experience working with Tableau -Financial services or regulatory reporting exposure
-SharePoint experience
-Technical or software engineering background
