L-H Battery Packing Operator Contingent Openings Assignment Details

  • 3 Month long contingent role, will be guaranteed an interview and consideration for direct hire roles within L-H Battery after 60 days into assignment
  • $1000 bonus upon completion of the assignment
  • The Packaging Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently packaging finished goods in accordance to production standards, quality requirements, and safety guidelines.
  • Ensures all products are properly labeled and prepared for shipment
  • Meets the company's performance and quality expectations.
  • Maintains work flow, minimizes down time and supports overall manufacturing output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate packaging machinery and equipment according to established procedures
  • Inspect, weigh, count, and package finished products to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Apply labels, barcodes, and required documentation to finished goods
  • Assemble boxes, cartons, pallets, and other packaging materials as needed
  • Perform manual packaging tasks when required( bagging, sealing, shrink wrapping, etc.)

Shifts Must be available to work an assigned fixed Pitman Schedule (2,3,2), including every other weekend 1st 6am-6pm 2nd 6pm-6am Understand, demonstrate, and adhere to workplace and process safety, PPE requirements, including, but not limited to hazardous materials, equipment and other general workplace requirements Perform basic cleaning, adjustments, and preventative maintenance tasks Maintain cleanliness at work site in accordance with 5S#R standards Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quality, Right Container Follow all safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPC requirements Stage raw materials, packaging supplies, labels, and finished goods at required work stations Move packaged product to designated storage or shipping areas using pallet jacks or other approved equipment Monitor material levels and notify team leads when supplies need replenished Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods Basic math, measurement, and counting skills Able to follow written and verbal instructions Attention to detail
