Actalent Pharmacy Technician in Jeffersonville, Indiana

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to fill prescription vials with pills, capsules, and some liquids. The role involves using a computer to read prescription requirements, scanning vials and labels, replenishing automated fill machines with drugs, and processing shipping orders. This position does not require handling phone calls and it is Non-Customer Facing!

Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill prescription vials with pills, capsules, and liquids.

  • Use computer systems to read and interpret prescription requirements.

  • Scan vials and labels to ensure accurate dispensing.

  • Replenish automated fill machines with the necessary drugs.

  • Process shipping orders efficiently.

  • Meet line quotas, with quicker lines at 365 vials per hour and others at 100-150 per hour.

Essential Skills

  • Pharmacy technician license or certificate.

  • Experience in pharmacy fulfillment and retail pharmacy.

  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hour shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Indiana Pharm Tech License required; open to candidates in training.

  • Training license accepted for the Jeffersonville location.

Work Environment

This role is based in a highly automated, non-customer-facing facility. The work environment is climate-controlled, allowing for casual dress and the option to listen to headphones during shifts. Employees are entitled to two 15-minute paid breaks. Overtime is rarely denied for those who wish to work additional hours. Upon permanent employment, you will receive 40 hours of emergency PTO (flexible), 88 hours of scheduled PTO, and 5 floating holidays

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jeffersonville, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.95 - $18.95/hr.
