Job Title: Press Brake Operator Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to efficiently set up and operate a brake press for the fabrication of lawnmower components. This role involves 90% work with the brake press and 10% with a sheet metal roller. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tool swapping, blueprint reading, and performing quality checks using various measuring tools.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate a brake press and sheet metal roller for lawnmower components.
Swap tools as necessary to ensure efficient operations.
Read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication processes.
Perform quality checks using height gauges, tape measures, and micrometers.
Provide support in assembly departments if required, though this will be minimal.
Essential Skills
Experience with press brake and blueprint reading.
3 years of experience running a brake press.
Proficiency with sheet metal fabrication.
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and set up machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience setting up a brake press.

Work Environment
Work a first shift schedule consisting of four 10-hour days, Tuesday through Friday from 5am to 3:30pm, transitioning to a Monday through Thursday schedule in April. Overtime is voluntary, with two weeks in the month typically free from overtime. Expect overtime on Mondays, switching to Fridays in April.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.35/hr.
