Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to join our organization in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will oversee all logistics operations, ensuring efficient supply chain management, timely delivery of goods, and optimal cost control. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, analytical expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Provide strategic oversight of all logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and distribution activities, while mentoring team members to drive operational excellence
Develop and implement advanced logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce operational costs, and support organizational growth objectives
Lead and develop logistics teams, providing coaching, performance management, and career development opportunities to build high-performing departments
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock availability while optimizing working capital
Conduct comprehensive analysis of logistics data and metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement strategic corrective actions
Manage relationships with transportation providers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms, ensure timely delivery, and maintain cost-effectiveness
Ensure full compliance with Saudi Arabian import/export regulations, international logistics standards, and organizational policies
Develop and manage logistics budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality standards
Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to streamline operations and drive process improvements
Proactively resolve logistics-related issues and implement sustainable solutions to minimize operational disruptions
Maintain accurate records and generate comprehensive reports on logistics performance, key performance indicators, and strategic recommendations
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align logistics operations with broader organizational objectives and support business initiatives
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in logistics management, supply chain operations, or related senior roles
Extensive expertise in inventory management, warehouse operations, and supply chain optimization at a strategic level
Advanced proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and logistics technology platforms
Demonstrated mastery in transportation management, distribution network design, and logistics process optimization
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proven ability to drive data-informed strategic decisions
Strong leadership experience managing large logistics teams and cross-functional departments
Comprehensive understanding of logistics regulations, compliance frameworks, and international best practices
Expert-level organizational and strategic planning skills with ability to manage complex operations
Advanced proficiency in cost analysis, budget management, and financial optimization
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Extensive experience in logistics operations within the Middle East region or Saudi Arabia
Deep knowledge of Saudi Arabian customs regulations, import/export procedures, and regional compliance requirements
Proficiency with advanced logistics software platforms, digital transformation tools, and automation technologies
Proven track record of leading large-scale logistics projects and operational transformation initiatives
Demonstrated expertise in strategic vendor and supplier relationship management and contract negotiation
Advanced experience with data analytics tools, business intelligence systems, and performance reporting
Professional certification in supply chain management or logistics (APICS, CSCP, ASCM, or equivalent advanced credential)
Experience in implementing lean logistics methodologies or continuous improvement frameworks
