Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Engineer - Structural with a strong background in structural design to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With 8+ years of proven expertise in structural design and a track record of delivering large-scale urban master plan projects with high-rise components, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring structural integrity, design excellence, and compliance across complex construction initiatives. In this role, you will leverage your advanced technical knowledge to oversee structural systems, guide design implementation, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver world-class structural engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, strong leadership capabilities, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety on every project.

  • Lead comprehensive structural design reviews and verification programs across large-scale urban master plan projects, monitoring complex structural systems including foundations, high-rise frameworks, reinforcement strategies, formwork systems, and advanced concrete methodologies to ensure full compliance with approved designs and specifications

  • Oversee proper placement of reinforcement, formwork installation, post-tensioning operations, and concrete sequencing throughout all construction phases on high-rise and complex structures, applying meticulous attention to detail and design intent

  • Evaluate and approve temporary works designs for falsework, scaffolding, and shoring systems on large-scale projects, confirming adequate strength, stability, and safety compliance for complex structural scenarios

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of Saudi Building Codes and local authority standards, coordinating with design teams, architects, and relevant authorities to resolve design discrepancies, optimize structural solutions, and address site-specific challenges on master plan projects

  • Direct installation and alignment of complex structural components including expansion joints, bearings, drainage systems, and high-rise structural connections, ensuring precision and adherence to contract specifications

  • Maintain comprehensive project records including design documentation, daily and weekly progress reports, material accounting, change orders, and record drawings with organized, professional documentation practices

  • Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any violations or deviations, documenting findings and recommendations for corrective action with transparency and technical clarity

  • Lead progress review and coordination meetings, providing expert structural design knowledge to resolve complex engineering challenges and optimize project execution on large-scale initiatives

  • Collaborate with design teams, inspection personnel, and contractors, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment while ensuring adherence to contract documents, approved plans, and design specifications

  • Ensure all structural works comply with Health and Safety regulations and participate actively in quality assurance activities, design validation, and project handover processes on complex urban developments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related Engineering discipline

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural design, engineering, and construction supervision on complex projects

  • Proven track record of leading structural design and verification on large-scale urban master plan projects with high-rise components

  • Demonstrated expertise in structural design methodologies, construction materials, and advanced construction techniques including post-tensioning and concrete sequencing

  • Extensive experience conducting structural inspections, design reviews, and verification on complex, large-scale projects

  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Codes and local authority standards and requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of temporary works design, falsework, scaffolding, and shoring systems for complex structural scenarios

  • Proficiency with CAD software and structural analysis tools

  • Extensive experience with quality assurance and quality control processes in construction environments

  • Demonstrated expertise in Non-Conformance Report (NCR) documentation and corrective action processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive recommendations on complex structural challenges

  • Solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices in construction

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed project documentation

  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Preferred: Direct experience on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region

  • Preferred: Local authority approvals or certifications relevant to structural engineering in Saudi Arabia
