Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead individual or group classes with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Have knowledge in the skill they have been designated to teach and instruct.
- Design and implement structured sessions tailored to the participants needs, skill levels, and goals.
- Demonstrate proper techniques, movements, and safety procedures.
- Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Provide motivation, support, and modifications for various fitness levels.
- Set up and clean equipment as needed before and after sessions.
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and energetic atmosphere.
- Respond to emergencies and follow health and safety protocols.
- Keep attendance and progress records as required.
- Promote classes/programs and encourage participant engagement.
- For Adaptive- Must have experience working with individuals with disabilities and special needs, along with a solid understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching practices.
- Hours will include prep time weeks before the camps, full camp days, and pre/post camp meetings
- Instructors will work with the Parks and Recreation Team to help create 22 total hours worth of curriculum/schedule for two different themed STEM camps for two age groups!
- Class sizes will be max 20 students.
- Will teach all camps alongside another instructor/assistant
