Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling very small components on an automated production line in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will follow standard operating procedures, use hand tools and basic equipment, and rotate through different stations to support production, packaging, and machine operation as needed.
Responsibilities
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to complete a variety of assembly tasks accurately and safely.
Perform hand assembly of very small piece parts on an automated assembly line.
Use fixtures and automated equipment to assemble components according to specifications.
Rotate between different workstations to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and consistency.
Operate basic production and assembly machines as needed, following all safety and operating guidelines.
Perform picking and packing tasks to prepare products for shipment or further processing.
Use hand tools and power tools as required to complete mechanical assembly work.
Inspect parts and assemblies visually to ensure they meet quality standards.
Package finished products according to established procedures.
Lift and move materials and products, occasionally up to 30 pounds, in a safe manner.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all housekeeping and safety rules.
Learn and support multiple departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to cross-train.
Essential Skills
Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures accurately.
Good hand–eye coordination to work effectively with extremely small parts.
Capability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds safely.
Experience or comfort with general labor and assembly work.
Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely.
Willingness and ability to rotate between different stations and tasks.
Reliable attendance and consistency in showing up for scheduled shifts.
Ability to sit for the majority of the shift while performing fine, detailed work.
Comfort working on a production line in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Any prior experience in assembly, production, general labor, or manufacturing is welcome but not required.
Experience with mechanical assembly or machine operation is a plus.
Familiarity with packaging, picking, and packing processes is beneficial.
Ability to read and understand basic instructions, and potentially simple blueprints or diagrams.
Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train in multiple departments.
Comfort with repetitive work involving very small parts and fine motor tasks.

Work Environment
1st Shift: 6:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday (18.60)
2nd Shift: 4:00pm-2:00am, Monday-Thursday (18.60+1.50 = 20.10)
The facility is very clean, well organized, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and consistent environment for detailed assembly work. Many tasks involve sitting for most of the shift while handling very small parts. The role includes working on an automated production line, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and basic machinery. The environment encourages cross-training and movement between departments, including assembly, machine operation, picking, and packing. Team members may wear one earbud and listen to music during work, provided the device does not have a camera, and are expected to follow all safety and housekeeping guidelines at all times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
